Trace Adkins' tenth album for Capitol Records, "X," splashes down on November 25, MMVII with a boot-load of classic Trace-style baritone goodness, including the first single, "Muddy Water."
Capitol says the disc will also find Trace crooning one tune, "I Can't Out Run You."
Another track, by the way, is “Sometimes a Man Takes a Drink,” which the label says "could be tradition merely without his ability to infuse heritage styles with modern tensions and vibes."
That ditty, I must say, was written by friend-of-ggcolumn Amanda Martin, whose talent extends from the pen to the guitar and vocals (Check her out at her website and on MySpace).
If you've caught Trace on tour with Alan Jackson, you've no doubt been treated to several portions of "X."
While you get ready for listen to Trace's new platter, you can eyeball him all over the place. He'll soon have his kisser plastered in the pages of Billboard, Road King, Country Weekly, People, First Magazine, and the Associated Press, among others.
He'll also pull heavy duty on the Remote Patrol with appearances slated for the CMA Awards, a GAC special Trace Adkins: X (TEN) Days, which highlights Trace's recent USO Trip to Iraq and Afghanistan, the 82nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (Say "hi" to Underdog for me!), “Bonnie Hunt,” “The O’Reilly Factor,” “Talk Show With Spike Feresten,” “The Doctors,” “Morning Show with Mike and Juliet,” TV Guide Network, CNN and DIY Network’s “Indoors Out,” with several more appearances on tap.
(Elsewhere on the) Remote Patrol: Leno has Darius Rucker "Tonight"...Dave trots out James Taylor Tuesday and Ryan Adams Wednesday...Kellie Pickler drop by Ellen Degeneres on hump day and slides on over to Bonnie Hunt's new show Thursday...Wilco foxtrots over to "The Colbert Report" Thursday.
