IF YOU SEE HER/HIM (Items on Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Dolly Parton, Alabama, Randy Owen, Jason Aldean, Martina McBride, Nanci Griffith)

Reba McEntire's singles output lands a mighty impressive distinction and the dudes she sings with her latest aren't doing too shabby themselves.
Her duet with Brooks & Dunn on "Cowboys Don't Cry" lands in the top ten,
marking her 56th visit there in her career...and that's the most, ever, by a female country artist. The carrot top inches past Dolly Parton for the honor (not that Dolly isn't trying to keep up).
"Wow! Dolly is one of my idols and good friends,"
she sez. "To even be mentioned in the same sentence as her is huge to me. To be able to accomplish a 56th Top 10 hit while singing with my buddies, Brooks & Dunn, makes it all so much sweeter."
And if you're wondering, Dolly's last residency in the top ten was in early '06 with Brad Paisley on "When I Get Where I'm Going."
B&D, meanwhile,
notched their 41st top tenner with "Cowboys" and that pushed them past Alabama for the most by a country combo.

Dateline: Fort Payne: So Dolly and Alabama may have been passed up, but a Dolly ditty is headed to the charts with Alabama front man singing it. The Parton-penned "Holding Everything" (as opposed to Dolly's '60's hit, "Holdin' on to Nothin'," I guess) will be Randy's next solo single and it's a duet with Megan Mullins...and just like every artist, Randy discovered the song through...his hairdresser.
Meanwhile, Randy's digs in Alabama will be featured in People magazine's next Country Music issue, which lands February 6 and this Saturday on "CMT Cribs" (along with the homes of Gretchen Wilson and Troy Gentry...let's hope there's not a bearskin rug in that living room).
And if you thought that was all of the Randy Owen news, you'd be wrong. Jason Aldean is doing a cover of "My Home's in Alabama" for his "Wide Open" (as of April 7th) album and Randy's tagging along with some vocal help.

Starstruck Entertainment: Who makes Martina McBride starstruck? Reba, sez The Boot.
Speaking of which, Reba and the head of Starstruck Entertainment are featured in the new Country Weekly.
