PURE BS COUNTRY (Items on Blake Shelton, George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Wynonna)

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are breaking up...well not really, but they're going their seperate ways, (big) tour-wise this summer, now that Blake has been attached to George Strait's '09 outing (joining Julianne Hough...I cannot wait for George and The Houghenator's duet on "Murder on Music Row!").
Meanwhile, Miranda will be in one of the warmup slots on Kenny Chesney's tour (which also has Lady Antebellum and just added another stadium show...and the those big houses on the KC trek will also feature Sugarland and Montgomery Gentry).

"I have the utmost respect for George Strait and to be invited to be on his tour is a huge honor," sez Blake, "He truly is a living legend. Thank you George Strait for this incredible opportunity."
The opportunity starts on May 9 in Hidalgo, Texas and runs through July 25.
Before that (tonight) catch Blake on E!'s "Chelsea Lately" and (tomorrow) on "JImmy Kimmel Live."
Miranda, BTW, is set to perform at one of the luncheons at the Country Radio Broadcasters to-do in Nashville in March. Darius Rucker, Jake Owen and Little Big Town will also being doing lunch.

Rinse and Repeat: Martina McBride is featured in a five-song performance and interview over at Walmart's Soundcheck, lathered up by the good folks at Suave. There's also a free download of "I Love You" available (if their supplies are still lasting).
Here's a teaser...

From TMZ: ...Faith Hill and Tim McGraw shelled out between $13,000 and $15,000 a night for their Georgetown hotel suite while in D.C. for the inaugural doings.

Also from the (para-) site, "The indie film Rebel Alliance was hit with another blow when newly crowned Sith Lord Wynonna Judd arrived..." With pictures.
